We are introducing an online tool to help determine every company’s privacy risk! The obvious place to test it? The Web Summit in Lisbon, where the world’s top tech businesses will congregate!
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will require certain companies to appoint a Data Protection Officer, a position that Aphaia provides on an outsourced basis, as a service. But how do you know if your company needs a Data Protection Officer?
With the GDPR criteria less than clear, the answer should depend on some general risk factors in relation to customer privacy. One should remember that firms are still more likely to be fined for actual privacy breaches than the lack of having a Data Protection Officer. Appointing a Data Protection Officer is therefore a strategic choice rather than something done pro forma.
Want to make sure you don’t miss out? Tweet us at @AphaiaEvropa to get in touch with Giulia, our Business Development Director, who will be at the Lisbon Web Summit venue! See you there! Alternatively, find out more about our data protection and privacy services here.
