Yesterday, on 21 May Aphaia’s Chief Consultant Boštjan Makarovič attended the conference Ultra Fast Broadband Policy and Practice, that took place in Brussels.
The Ultra Fast Broadband Policy and Practice conference was organized by ECTA, the European Competitive Telecommunications Association and dealt with several topics, among them the technological developments in fixed and mobile broadband and the financing and demand of fibre roll out.
Also presented were the perspectives of the fibre roll out of various countries and the question of whether the market is capable of delivering the Digital Agenda targets on its own, without policy makers.
The keynote speech was delivered by Neelie Kroes, Vice President and Commissioner for the Digital Agenda at the European Commission.
