In April 2011 Aphaia’s Chief Consultant, Boštjan Makarovič, LLM spoke at the FTTx Summit Europe 2011 conference on fibre optic networks that took place in London, United Kingdom.
In his lecture of 13 April Mr Makarovič examined cases for and against the regulation of NGA, identifying the regulation in place to support the development of NGA infrastructure across Europe.
The lecture was followed by a workshop on 14 April, in which Mr Makarovič lead a discussion on when and how to implement fibre networks in such a way as to comply with regulatory stipulations while effectively balancing investment and competition.
